About Marjorie May Vintage

Marjorie May Vintage officially began trading in 2010 when I started doing vintage fairs around London and got hooked. Coming from a long line of independent business women with a love of fashion and a strong "make do and mend" attitude I finally took the plunge after my Great Aunt kindly bequeathed me her enormous collection of beautiful vintage. It quickly became clear that I did not have the space to keep it all so reluctantly I started to sell, and then I met so many lovely people with the same obsession for buttons and colours and details that I knew the things I was selling were going to homes where they would be loved.

All of my stock continues to be handpicked and sourced by me because I love it and if I could I would keep it all, but it has proved even more rewarding to find the items new homes and that personal relationship is a huge part of my business.  If you can't find the item you are looking for please get in touch and I will see if I can get it in for you. If you are a bride looking for a unique wedding dress then you are welcome to come for a fitting at my house, stay for a cup of tea and talk buttons!

The name is a homage to my Great Aunt and a thank you to her for the shared love over the years of jewellery and fabric and all things Vogue. The name also remembers my great grandmother the milliner, my grandmother the seamstress and my mother, the judge who just happened to be darn handy in the kitchen or with a sewing machine. To these and all the women who have made themselves and us look fabulous over the years - thank you.
